FASHION Sakala has described Saudi Arabia as an exciting country after joining Al Fayha on a two year contract from Scottish giants Rangers.
Sakala has announced that he has signed for Al Fayha, signaling an end to his time in Scotland and joining a country and league that has been attracting a number of top stars recently.
Clubs in the Saudi Pro League have in recent months been spending big, signing some of the biggest football talents to set up what looks like a competitive and exciting season.
There have been big-money signings of players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Mahrez, which have helped to raise the profile of the league and attract more fans from around the world.
“The exciting country and destination of many players…FS10, Dreams don't die in Saudi Arabia,” Sakala posted on his Twitter page.
Meanwhile, Rangers coach Machael Baele has described Fashion Sakala’s offer from Al Fayha as too good for the player and his family to ignore.
“He was a player I was counting on, a boy I had a really close relationship with, maybe even stronger than with anyone else in the group.
“He’s done very well for us, and the strength of the relationship was probably important because the offer for him and his family, I felt, was a very good one. We spoke at length about it, and he leaves with everyone’s well wishes.
“He’ll always be invited back to Rangers, but financially, that was an offer for Fashion and his family that he should have taken, and he has done now,” Baele said.
