The Public Service Micro Finance Company -PSMFC has urged civil servants to take advantage of its various agro services to venture into agriculture.
PSMFC Chief Executive Officer MUBANGA MWIKO says the company has the means for public sector workers to realize President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s call for people to venture into small holdings.
He said this when he handed over a tractor, a plough and irrigation set to Kabompo District Agriculture Coordinator PETER CHIBIZWE at the ongoing 95th Agriculture and Commercial Show in Lusaka.
Mr. MWIKO said agriculture has potential to transform lives hence the company’s determination to help public service workers get into farming.
And Mr. CHIBIZWE, who is also a small scale farmer in Kabompo District, said he started the application process for the tractor yesterday and in the morning today, he was informed that he was successful.
Mr. CHIBIZWE said the tractor, plough and irrigation set will help him diversify to other crops.
