They complained that the mealie meal which was cost K120 when he left office in 2021 is now costing over K240.
The Mourners according to Zambian Eye Political Correspondent were heard shouting njala (hunger) as former president Lungu walked out of the funeral to his vehicle.
They complained that the cost of living had become high saying “ubwelela po.”
Lungu who could say anything greeted the Mourners who jostled to greet him before he was driven away.
There are growing calls among the PF members to have Lungu back and recontest the 2026 elections.
They ague that Lungu’s leadership is tested and that he has learn from the mistakes he made while at the helm.
President Hakainde Hichilema has however vowed never to allow Lungu bounce back to power accusing him of misrule.
